The Book Fair is Coming!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 1st.  The Friends of the Bennington Area Libraries have teamed up with Scholastic Book Fairs to provide a book sale.  Proceeds will enable the Bennington Public Library to stock the shelves with additional books and materials.

The Book Fair will run from 8am – 1pm.  So stop by the Fire House for the annual Pancake Feed and then swing into the library to feed your mind!

Can’t make it?  Visit our Scholastic Book Fair page and purchase books online today.  Books will be delivered to the library, and we’ll give you a call to pick them up.

Tote Bags

When children come to the Bennington Public Library for the first time, they receive a library card and tote bag.  The tradition of the tote bag dates back many years. Tote bags are lovingly made by volunteers from all around the community.

Donations of fabric and hand-made tote bags are always appreciated. You may drop off your donation at the Bennington Public Library.

If you are interested in making tote bags for the children, we have instructions available here. If you need fabric, you can check with the library staff to see if there is a recent donation of fabric.
